Mark Shepherd is the Principal Broker and owner of Shepherd Real Estate Group and has been active in real estate for over 20 years. Mark served as the President of the Northern Wasatch Association of Realtors.
Following his 8 years of service on the Clearfield City Planning Commission and 6 years on the City Council, Mark was elected as Mayor in 2013 and began his 4th term this year. He has played a key role in Clearfield's revitalization and led the charge to approve over 4,000 new housing units over the past five years. Mayor Shepherd is a past Chair of the National League of Cities’ Finance, Administration, and Intergovernmental Relations Committee as well as the Small Cities Council and the Military Communities Council. He currently serves on the NLC board of directors.
A thought leader on housing policy, Mayor Shepherd is the co-Chair of ‘Mayors and CEOs for Housing Investment’ and was appointed to serve as co-Chair of America’s Housing Comeback – a partnership between the National League of Cities, the American Planners Association, The National Association of Realtors and the National Home Builders Association. He also sits on the board of Directors for the Utah League of Cities and is involved with various local and regional boards, including the Utah Defense Alliance, Military Installation Development Authority and the Davis County Homelessness Task Force.
Mark has been married to Tammie for 37 years, and they have seven children and fifteen grandchildren.
